EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED // Live from the Hall of Fame Bar and Grill
"This is going to be a fun, live, interactive and entertaining show with lots of interesting characters and topics of discussion,” said Johnson. “Although the main focus will be on sports and the Padres, this show is really about what the title suggests - outta left field. We want to involve as many fans as we can with the show so people at home are feeling as if they're right there with us having a great time in the Western Metal building.”
Johnson will be joined this season by co-host Bob Scanlan, a 9-year major league veteran. Also this season, Outta Left Field will add a new element to the show – Chrissy Russo, who doubles as morning weathercaster on Fox 6 In The Morning, will take you around the ballpark and give you a feel of what it's like to take in a game at PETCO. We’ll also have guests from time to time, ranging from sports figures and local celebrities to newsmakers and surprise guests in San Diego for the night. Patrons of the Hall of Fame Bar and Grill will be part of the live audience.
Designed for the San Diego audience, Channel 4 San Diego produces more local programming than any other station in the region, and televises 250 live sporting events including 150 Padres games.
Johnson currently hosts San Diego’s only music show, “Fox Rox,” on XETV Fox 6, for which he won a 2004 Emmy Award. He is Arts and Entertainment Editor for San Diego CityBeat.
