The Magic of the Shillela....Nevermind

Mud broke out the sheillelagh tonight for the 9th inning trying to get the Padres a victory but even the best laid plans don't work out sometimes. Still, the Pads need to push across a run here tonight and get a much needed win against the Reds. What do you, the Padre fan, like to do for good luck when the Padres really need a run? Let us know in the comments.

  • When the Padres are behind and need a run, I'm putting on the ole rally cap, conservative fan that I am.

Oh, btw...thanks heaps for bringing the Wizard of Oz on tonight's broadcast. I've now seen Lee Smith and Ozzie Smith in what I can only describe as a bonus treat for a baseball fan. Please keep these type of guests (and not TV stars or singers) coming because I am loving it!

  • Of course the sheillelagh didn't work, Matty V explained to us ignorant fans that superstitions in baseball are complete bs.

  • You keep workin' it Mudd! Where can I buy one of those Shillela caps?

  • I like to throw a tennis ball against the wall close to my TV in an attempt to "bang together some hits" (cheesy, I know). It's weird, but it caught on with me during 05's May, like the Shillela. I've been doing it ever since, with mixed results. If the Padres pull it off, I give all credit to my wall-banging. If they don't, I claim that I didn't do it right or something. So yeah.
